According to Della Corte, CIL IV 629 was still readable on the pilaster, between VII.12.14 and 13.

According to Epigraphik-Datenbank Clauss/Slaby (See www.manfredclauss.de), it read -

According to Boyce, in the east wall of the shop-room was a rectangular niche.

Its inside walls were coated with orange-coloured stucco.

According to Fiorelli, this house was more noble than the preceding ones and the last shop in the vicolo.

Its triclinium, adorned with a little painting depicting bearded Pan in the act of raising the mantle of a sleeping Bacchante, was lit by a window which overlooked the roadway, and looked into another nearby triclinium. It had a passageway with stairs to the upper floor, and an area at the rear which was discovered with a large latrine in its corner.

According to BdI, found in a room here was a copy of a painting, often repeated, showing bearded Pan lifting the dress of a sleeping Bacchante.

The dress was a reddish colour.

The painting, which had suffered much, had the height and width of 0.37m.

According to Jashemski, there was probably a garden in the open area at the rear of this shop-house which Della Corte had identified as a location of a school.
